Locust's Ahead

Gears of War 2 was announced 2 months ago that the game will be released in November of 2008. I've been waiting for this game to arrive ever since I stopped playing the original Gears of War and moved onto Halo 3. I felt that nothing could beat Gears of war which was the best FPS that I had ever played up to this point. I got so caught up in playing Xbox Live GOW that I never ended up completing the campaign, although it seemed real fun. I developed a problem and could not stop myself from going straight to Xbox Live when the game got done loading. The characteristics that I enjoyed about GOW was the tucked running, ability to post up against the walls, and the rolling to defend the oncoming bullets. My assumption turned out to be wrong. Halo 3 exceeded my expectations and the best part that I enjoyed about the game was the fact that there was very little to no lag on Xbox Live. I would give the upper hand to Halo 3 over GOW for a better FPS, which I thought was going to be impossible. First-person-shooter games are becoming more and more "real" and I believe that once again the bar is going to be raised and Gears of War 2 will be the best first-person-shooter game ever created. http://gearsofwar.com/

2008 NCAA Men's College Basketball Tournament

With march madness approaching in around 8 hours I thought I'd share some information on my thoughts on the tournament and some of my upsets that I picked.
The NCAA men's college basketball tournament is arguable the most exciting tournament in the nation, 64 teams from across the country qualify to battle head-to-head in an intense playoff atmosphere. Millions of viewers will be holding their bracket in their hands anxiously in hopes that their pick will come out of the game victorious.
USC over Georgetown...you can't spot Mayo, period.
Pittsburgh over Memphis...after upsetting Georgetown to win the Big East as a No. 7 seed this team has a lot of momentum go far in the tournament.
Louisville over Tennessee...Louisville is underrated but it should be a great game, Tennessee is a tough team.
My pick to win the tournament...UCLA. Kevin Love is dominant.

For my 1st post I thought I'd share a little information about myself. I am a third year at Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo living at a fraternity house and enjoying the college lifestyle and only paying $260/month for rent...yes I am a broke college student. My hobbies and interests include everything about fast cars, professional and college sports, collegiate wrestling, going to the gym, online gaming, gambling, board sports, fraternity life, and going out on the weekends. Most of these topics I will be updating with thoughts and discussion on current events revolving them. Feel free to make comments.
